Scholarships Graduate School Applicants must have a PhD in sociology, social policy, or related social science discipline relevant to post. Applicants must have, and be able to demonstrate, excellent ability of qualitative research. Scholarships Graduate School Description: Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for two year fixed term contract Postdoctoral Researcher position in the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology, NUI Galway-based. This is a key post in a research project, funded by philanthropist Atlantic, which examines intergenerational solidarity and justice in Ireland. Involves implementing and analyzing a total of 100 semi-structured interviews with men and women of various ages, with a view to interrogating the four cohorts different perceptions and views about intergenerational solidarity in Ireland.Scholarships Graduate School appointed to investigate and use different sampling strategies for collecting samples, organize and carry out up to 50 interviews in Galway and surrounding areas, organize and analyze the interview data (external transcribed); report co-author and academic publications on the basis of these data, communicate findings to a diverse audience, including interest / advocacy groups and policy makers, and assist in organizing conferences, focus groups and other events related to the project.
